Rapidshare has decided to block all third party programs that are aimed at working with the Rapidshare website. This decision was made after the Rapidshare servers were flooded with unknown activity.
Later in the day, Rapidshare announced the completion of its new API. It has said that the new API has now entered beta testing. This API would make it possible for programmers to develop new reliable software that makes use of internal rapidshare functions. Rapidshare plans to make its API available to general public shortly.
