Rapidshare announced today that it is upgrading its internal resources due to the significant number of new users who subscribed to Rapidshare in the last two weeks. This upgrade in infrastructure is aimed at improving performance and services for premium members in the long run. However, it has set a fresh temporary download limit of 4 GB per day on premium users during this ‘transitional phase’, pissing off the premiums who had paid for the 10 GB per day capacity. It has also announced that during this period, premium users will be able to save up to 30 GB of download capacity (instead of the usual 50 GB), if the daily 4 GB volume has not been used.
